Lynx // Wild West Sailing

Introducing “Lynx” a Reflex 38 used for our Round IRL Voyages, Coastal Skipper Courses, and Offshore Racing Adventures – Commissioned by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, designed & built as a Clipper Round the World training vessel, Lynx is an absolute joy to sail and as capable in high winds as she is light breezes.

Her sailing wardrobe consists of cruising dacron sails, both symmetrical, asymmetrical spinnakers, a code zero, and a range of high-performance laminate sails for racing.

Lynx’s strength is her sheer ability to cover rapidly ground and give an amazing sailing experience….& she loves a good surf too!

Beneteau Oceanis 37.3

Oceanis // Wild West Sailing

Meet Rí na Rógairí, a Beneteau Oceanis 37.3. Elegant and clever layout, she is used for Competant Crew, Day Skipper & Yachtmaster courses. She is a luxurious cruiser, typical of a charter boat found in the Med, that will put your skills to the test and is the ideal vessel to practice close-quarter maneuvers, anchoring techniques, and sail handling with.

Under sail, she is a solid cruiser with plenty of scope to challenge your MOB recovery techniques and maneuvers on all points of sail. Her size means ample accommodation for your time onboard with all of the mod cons you need for a comfortable stay.

J24’s (the little big boat)

J24's with Wild West Sailing

Used for Social Sailing and 2-day Skills Courses, Our fleet of j24 yachts despite their modest size of only 24 feet host a crew of 5 taking up key positions of the boat, Helm, main sheet trimmer, pit, mast, and bowman.

This provides the perfect opportunity to learn the ropes in all positions and build a solid foundation of the fundamentals of sailing. Learn to work in unison with your crew to get the most out of the boat.

For our racing skills courses, the j24 means you can push your limits that bit further, practice mastering the kite by learning to jibe the spinnaker, peel from sail to sail, and conquer a course with bragging rights intact!

The J/24 was created to fulfill the diverse needs of recreational sailors such as cruising, one-design racing, day sailing, and handicap racing. The class has more than 5,500 boat worldwide and is the world’s most popular one-design keelboat.
